ALP 6.2%
Incumbent MP
John Rau, since 2002.
Geography
Northern Adelaide. Enfield covers suburbs immediately to the north of the Adelaide city centre, including the suburbs of Blair Athol, Broadview, Clearview, Enfield, Kilburn, Northgate, Sefton Park, Woodville Gardens and parts of Nailsworth.
Redistribution
Enfield shifted east, losing Angle Park, Ferryden Park, Mansfield Park and Regency Park, gaining Northgate from Torrens, and swapping territory with the seat of Adelaide. These changes cut the Labor margin from 8.1% to 6.2%.
History
The electorate of Enfield has existed since 2002, when it replaced the electorate of Ross Smith.
Ralph Clarke held Ross Smith for the ALP from 1993 until 2002, and rose to the position of deputy leader of the ALP in South Australia.
In 2002, Clarke was challenged for preselection by John Rau, who won the preselection with state executive support.
Rau won re-election in 2006, 2010 and 2014.
Rau has served as Deputy Premier since February 2011.

Assessment
Enfield is a marginal Labor seat – current polling suggests Labor has gained ground relative to the Liberal Party, which would suggest a strengthened Labor position in this seat.

Two-party-preferred votes in Enfield at the 2014 SA state election
The seat of Enfield has been made a lot more interesting with the Greens placing their preferences away from incumbent and current Attorney General John Rau.
With a 6.2% margin, it is going to be a tight race between the Liberals, Labor and SA Best here.
DLikely Labor hold, unless SA Best do really well and soak up a lot of Green/Liberal preferences.
