And therein lies the heart of the problem for the Labor Party, a party I was once a member of, the handing down of gifts for those that think they are born to rule. If you are a close blood relation then you are gifted a position. You cannot tell me that a 26 year old with what appears little life experience is the best candidate Labor can offer. In this case though the gift is poisoned, Labor are heading for an annihilation in the seat, I can barely find a local who will vote Labor. Not suprising really as the nepotism of the Labor political class has sadly brought nothing but pain to this electorate whether it be green preference deals that stop myself, my husband and my daughter going fishing in what was a special family place for us or the arrogant charade over North Stradbroke Island.
I am ashamed to have once been a rank and file branch member of a once great party. Labor, the music has stopped but a few awkward diehards are still trying to dance……………
My prediction: LNP retain
LNP retain with a sophomore surge.
