Yet another by-election was triggered yesterday, in addition to the Fadden and Rockingham by-elections. The Victorian state seat of Warrandyte will be going back to the polls later this year after Ryan Smith announced his retirement.
The Liberal Party holds Warrandyte by a 4.2% margin, so it could theoretically be in play depending on how things shake out. It seems unlikely that Labor would be in a position to pick up another seat while in government, but the Liberal Party has been having a lot of trouble in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne recently.
