7:25pm – With between 30% and 45% of the vote counted, depending on the electorate, we’re getting a bit of a picture. In Derwent, the Treasurer, Michael Aird, will be returned, but has seen his vote drop dramatically and looks likely to go to preferences. The Greens have held up relatively well, considering that there was only two candidates running in 2003. In Mersey, Mike Gaffney is leading. In Windermere, sitting MLC Ivan Dean has suffered a swing against him, but will be re-elected, while the Greens have performed quite well.
6:55pm – I’m gonna start keeping an eye on the results in the three Tasmanian Legislative Council electorates going to the polls today. More information at Poll Bludger and ABC Elections.
